Intended use

Sil-Select Plus TM is a gradient system for sperm preparation. The following gradients are available:

  • Sil-Select Plus top layer TM (45 %)
  • Sil-Select Plus TM 80%
  • Sil-Select Plus TM (90%)

The Sil-Select Plus TM system can be used to prepare sperm for intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).

Sil-Select Plus sperm washing/seminating medium is intended for use in medically assisted reproduction techniques, in particular for sperm washing/preservation and the production of density gradients. The medium can also be used for artificial insemination.

Sil-Select Plus is ready to use.

Composition

Sil-Select Plus gradients TM GRADIENTS gradients consist of silane-coated colloidal silica particles suspended in HEPES-buffered EBSS (Earle's balanced salt solution) supplemented with 0.4 to 2.2 g/l human serum albumin (a medicinal substance derived from human blood plasma).

Some product codes are supplemented with phenol red or gentamicin 10 mg/l (medicinal substance).
